Post subject: Vista don't get IP Automatically after a bad shutdown in WLAN Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>networking_sharing (more info?)

| I had normally my WLAN profile configured fine, but after a bad shutdown. My
computer, now never get a valid IP, only if I configure a valid IP the
connection works. I have been checking my router but it's ok.
Where is the problem?

Thanks for you reply, but isn't work.
I have been testing to re-install the wlan driver and doesn't works. And
about the firmware of router is totally independent of the O.S. so, I think
that is something of this O.S.
btw the link that you post doens't work.

try reinstall TCP/IP

How can reinstal TCP/IP? I must uninstall the "Client for Microsoft Networks"
and install again?

I have discover that if I disable IPv6 then get a valid IP. And also I have
been trying make a connection by ethernet with the same results. But in this
case if I disabled the IPv6, the ethernet interface get IP but don't works
dns resolutions.
Any suggestion?
