Help requested from computer gurus:
For some reason, a number of photographs have downloaded onto my computer and show up as part of the photo gallery on my Vista desktop. They show up when I first turn on my system, which makes me think they are uploading as part of my Start Menu.
These files are somehow linked to a web-site called 'http://blog.revenuewire.com/', as the photos on this web-site are the ones appearing in my photo gallery 'spool' (although these photos are not in the folder with the Vista photo gallery photos that they are showing up with). I believe (although I am not positive) that these photos inserted themselves in my computer when I was accessing Wikipedia.
Currently, I can delete some but not all of these images by doing a search of my system, but unfortunately, there are a few left in my computer that no longer reside where they were first copied and I do not know where they are or how to delete them to stop them from coming up again when I boot up my system.
When I search for them, they come up with names such as:
'blog.revenuewire.com~wp-content~uploads~2008~03~datasharing2.jpg'
or
'upload.wikimedia.org~wikipedia~en~5~51~Affiliatesummitlogo212x110.jpg'
And it says that these files are in Folder:
'c:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Google Desktop\90705d9200e1\Slideshow\blog.revenuewire.com~. It also says that they open with 'Windows Photo Gallery'.
What would be the best way for me to find and delete these files? As I mentioned, I can not find them to delete them and when I try, I either get an error message that says:
'This is no longer located in C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent. Verify the item's location and try again.'
or
'The ...\upload.wikimedia.org~wikipedia~en~5~5\~Affiliatesummitlogo 212x11... folder does not exist. The file may have been moved or deleted. Do you want to create it?
etc.
Any advice that is available would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks so much in advance! This certainly has me perplexed.
