Don't spread unfounded fear and doubt. Norton runs on Vista.
It just so happens that Windows Mail and Norton don't get along with each other.
Nothing new there. Outlook Express did not like Norton or McAfee antivirus either.

Hi Gary

I tried the WMU solution as well but got the message "unable to access
database" when trying to run it. Any thoughts?

Steve Cochran is the author of that utility, and best qualified to
answer that question. He posts in this newsgroup periodically.

Your other option is to get away from that buggy Windows Mail
and upgrade to Windows Live Mail:

Hi Marie,

Read the top portion at this link and do the section for the folder
that your stuck "undeletable" message is in. It will get rid of it for
you.

Gary, is this still the "FIX" for unsent messages in outbox that you would
recommend (1-17-09) I have one unsent message, that I had written per email
contact posted on a website. All emails I write from Windows mail send fine,
but I keep getting this error message from the email I wrote via the website.

Go to the outbox and then go to View | Current View | Show all messages.
Then if there is a message in the outbox, then delete it. If you sent from
the webmail, then you have to do that in webmail (go tho the outbox there
and delete the message) and not WinMail.

You need to enter the correct server name...
Tools - Accounts - (youraccount) - Properties - Servers

If you tell us who provides your email account, someone may be able to point
you to the correct settings.
