Unexpected restart causing failure

Hey Brad...

Just wanted to give you a heads up... that I had the same problem as you and
it got very irritating.... I thought that it was DVD, then hard drive... so i
re-burned the DVD iso file... and changed the hard drive... then I remember
what the Upgrade Advisor told me that wasn't compataible... I realized that
it was my wireless internet card... a d-link... i took that out and 30
minutes later... welcome to Windows Vista... So take out any thing that is
not required from your PCI slots... In my case i think the restarts were
caused when Vista installer could not find drivers for the air card... but it
didn't say anything just restarted... and make sure that only hardware that
you have installed when you got your computer is installed nothing else....
and give that a shot and see what happens...

I took pretty much everything off of my computer but the adviser had a
problem with my modem and the modem is built into the motherboard. Any
suggestions for that?

Nevermind. My modem isn't built in. I was just looking at my computer from
the wrong angle and I couldn't see the little bugger.
