Post subject: Trouble Accessing Network Shares

I have a user that has a laptop w/ Vista Premium. We are on a domain, so I know he can't login into it, but initially when he brought it in, I was able to assign him a manual IP (like all of our machines) and he would be able to access network shares using UNC paths.

For some reason, he re-imaged the machine using the recovery disks. Now that he has done so, even after doing the same thing that I did before to allow him access, he can no longer access the same UNC shares. I get an error code 0x80070035 when trying to connect.

When I looked this up online, it recommends fixes that are already in place on the machine. IE: network discovery being turned on, etc.

Any suggestions? TIA.
