Hi,

Just bought a desktop with Vista Home Basic OEM version. But the window
maximize/minimize effect is disappointing. There is not even any animation
effect such as fade in/out like that of the MacOS.

Is it because of low end my graphic card (intel GMA 3100) or the because of
the version of Vista?

Thanks!

That's because of the Windows version.
Windows Vista Home Basic doesn't support Aero, so you won't have the 3D
effects etc. (or at least, that's what Microsoft wants you to beleave.)

There is a hack to enable Aero in Home Basic, but I don't know if Microsoft
really appreciates that. Smile

Also, you'll need a good video card to enable Aero, but I think your video
card is fast enough.
