The Sims 2 installation problem , please help

when i put the first cd in it installs to about 8% then an error occurs whilst trying to install it the error reads
A problem occurred when trying to transfer the file 'TSData/Res/Sound/Voice1.package' from the media
By the way i have windows vista n i paid for this game i expect it to work
I need help i love this game, how can i make it install??
