I have similar problems. I have an ATI Radion 2400 pro graphics card with 256 on board and direct X 10 compatability; an AMD athelon 64x2 processor 5000+; 4 gigs of duel channel memory; all drivers updated and all the latest Sims II patches and it still doesn't work with Vista Home Premium.

It runs but when you put someone in a house it won't let you back into the house. I tried disabling all extra content and all programs running in the background and it still doesn't work.

Anyone have any ideas other than Vista is useless to gamers???
