Sims 2 Double Deluxe Plase Help

I'm really frustrated i have searched so many sites to get the sims 2 double deluxe on ideas how to make it work . I have got everything on my laptop that is needed to run it on vista. I have downloaded all the new drivers and the sims 2 patch . I have also changed the properties and added the -w at the end of the target text. And changed it to run programme as adminastrator . Also i have deleted all un needed files of my laptop defragmented it scanned it disk cleaned it the lot. And tried running the sims 2 in xp mode can anyone help will be much appreciated:) Leah
