Removing the details bar completely.

Howdy everyone,

I did do the normal search but as I'm not even sure what the bar I'm trying to remove is called, forgive me if I didn't find the appropriate post and am asking again :S

I'm trying to remove the bar in the picture completely, but I'm stuck with name, the bar really doesn't do anything for me. Please help.
