Remove Netzero mods to IE

I have Netzero dial up installed on my laptop to use when traveling.

Here is the problem: installing Netzero apparently has made modifications to Internet Explorer that I cannot remove--mods that are active at all times, even when not dialed in to Netzero. For example, if you mistype a url, it goes automatically to search.netzero.net, even though the default search engine is set to Google.

How can I remove this mod to IE? Netzero support refuses to help, calling it a "feature" .
