Post subject: Remote Desktop Vista Business to Win 2003 Server Problems

Hello,

I am manging a Windows 2003 terminal server. Whenever I try to remote in using Vista Business I receive a "cannot connect" error message. If I try again it works fine.

Remote Desktop will connect successfully for the next couple of hours, until this whole process resets.

This only occurs with this one server. When I remote into another Windows 2003 terminal server using Vista, everything works correctly the first time. Also, I have not been able to duplicate this using Remote Desktop on Windows XP Pro.

This leads me to believe that there is something mis-configured on this Windows 2003 server that is effecting Vista Remote Desktop only (I have no idea what this could be).

I have selected the "Do not use a TS gateway server" in the Remote Desktop Connection software on Vista.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Will
