Hi,

I try to take control of a Windows 2003 R2 server with Remote Desktop 6.0 on
a Windows Vista Enterprise (this server i sbehind a firewall). Port 3389 is
open on the Firewall but i continuously receive a message saying 'Can't
connect to this computer".

If I try from same subnet with a Windows XP SP2 and an older Remote Desktop
Client everything works smothly.

Is there other port(s) used ? What is the difference with older RDP ?

On Vista, no event in event viewer
On firewall, the log display "connection established" !

Do you have a similar experience ?

Thank you

If I create a VPN to reach the other network, RDP 6.0 works fine.

So, the problem comes clearly from the firewall. To test more deeply, I
tried to reach another Windows 2003 R2 behind another firewall ( other brand
-> Checkpoint in this case) and the problem is the same.

Do I have to configure the firewall differently when using RDP 6.0 ?

Thanks
