Program for a smart device (such as a pda)

Hi everyone, this is my first post.

I was wondering if anyone knew any help sites for something like this, or help me out generally. I'm aiming to write an application for a PDA that would plan glider flights on Visual Studio 2005.

For something like this I need a list of UK runways and link it to a selection from a dropdown box (or something). Which would then plot points on a UK map on another form. I also would like a page for weather updates, and enable the user to set markers on the map.

So far I've just got a couple of labels using drag and drop, not really made much of a start. I can't find any sites that would contain useful information about what I need to do.
