Do you really mean the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer
changed? If so that is normal for most people if your dialing into your ISP,
if your connected directly to a cable/DSL modem or your connected to a
router that has a built-in DHCP server function.

Here are explanations...

You know the MAC address changed because----? The MAC address is assigned
by the card manufacturer.

Your MAC address is on your network adaptor.
Vista doesn't change it.
If you changed your network card, then it's changed.
You probably mean IP address.

Didn't you read Sooner Al's post? That can change, if you use DHCP and not
static (permanent).

So, you're changing the MAC address with a program, and you don't know why
it's changing?

Why are you using this program????

Having that same problem with my son's laptop. For some reason, the
address changes and he can't get onto our network without some
tweaking. I too never experienced that with any XP machines. His
laptop is an HP if that matters. Looking for solutions myself. Sad
