Plextor PX 760A MIA!

My Plextor drive is gone!
Running Vista Ultimate here.
I ran the "Add New Hardware" wizard and it didn't find anything.
Plextor's web site is no help.
Any ideas anyone?

Thanks Tim but that applies to XP.
Would it be the same for Vista?

Hi, Paula ... in other posts in this newsgroup there is mention that this KB
also applies to Vista, even though it does not say that on the page ... you
are not alone ... I have lost my Plextor, too ... suddenly during the last
week of July ... I am just baffled as to why it happened ... haven't tried
the fix yet ... I need a weekend free in case I mung things up (g) ... good
luck to you and to all of us who have lost our CD/DVD drives ... vanilla

Yes, the fix also works with Vista.

Note: You would be very wise to make a backup of your Registry before attempting
the fix.

Glad to hear it worked. Sorry...I should have mentioned originally that
it applied to to Vista as well.
