Dear Friends, I had the same problem which made me go crazy, almost. After doing some search on the web, I found the solution which proved to be perfect in my situation.(Thanks to Roger the Shrubber (http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/729655.html)). I hope it will work for you as well. Please execute the following the steps.
Go to CONTROL PANEL, SYSTEM and MAINTENANCE, SYSTEM, DEVICE MANAGER (on the top left), DVD/CD-ROM DRIVERS, double left click your DRIVER, go to DRIVER and Uninstall it. Then, shut down your PC and unplug your driver(DVD writer, CD-WRITER, etc.). Start your PC and when it is ready, PLUG your driver so that Vista reinstalls it. Do not change the USB station of your driver, if you do, the same thing may happen, but you can always follow the previous steps. Enjoy Your [/b]Work!!!
