Network printing in a Vista/XP environment

Here is a very frustrating 3 week old problem. Please provide any help or insight.
Situation is: cannot print from my laptop to a remote All In One connected to a Desktop via a network.
Setup: Dell Dimension Desktop with XP Home Edition.
Dell AIO922 connected to the Dell Dimension.
Toshiba laptop with Vista Home Basic.
Netgear Wireless router.
Network Magic software to help.

What Happens: I can print from the Dell Dimension to the Dell AIO.
Cannot print from the laptop on the network. Have installed the Dell Vista software on the Laptop with the assistance of Dell. Can print when the laptop is directly connected to the Dell AIO. So I have to assume the drivers and everything are correct to allow it to print via USB.

I can see and open all shared files on each computer.
I did a quick test of reversing the Desktop and Laptop and with the printer and I was able to print remotely from the Desktop.

So, seems like there is something that does not quite work right because of Vista being on the remote pc (laptop). I am very tired and frustrated but am sure there must be some anser on this.
