Microsoft Certificate not showing on Vista with IE 7.0

Hello,

We are having trouble using Windows Vista and Microsoft Certificates. We have found/installed the 'fix' on Microsoft's site to upgrade the CertEnroll pages using LongHorn's version. This allowed us to request/approve and then install the certificate. Our problem is is that when we have IIS to accept certificates, the client certificate box does not show us any certificates, even though we see them under 'Tools | Internet Options | Content | Certificates

If we use XP Professional to request/install the certificate the whole process works.

Any help would be appreciated

I had a similar problem installing a root certificate in Vista. The cert would install but not as a Trusted Root. I had to manually install the certificate and specify via checkbox Show Physical Stores. Then when I chose local computer the cert installed correctly.

So you might try looking at the physical stores to see if you can get your cert to work right.

Thanks for the tip

Under IE I see under 'Trusted Root Certification Authories' my root certificate from our Certificate Authority. Under Personal I see my personal certificate that was installed. Do I need to have them anywhere else?

That should be all that you need. Is it working now? What type of cert are you trying to setup?
