Media Player 11 will not play ANY mpeg files

I am on Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. My Media Player 11.0.6000.6324
wont play ANY mpeg files. However all other files types works fine. What is
the solution to this? Is there a way to reinstall the Media Player and/or the
mpeg codecs?

www.free-codecs.com get the klite mega codec pack

I can't get it to play the music (midi) on my website and it wont let me
listen to previews of music either............what is going on with this
thing?
