I'm Italian excuse for my English Wink
I've try to install Windows Vista Ultimate on my pc on IDE HD e SATA HD.
After the first part of installation is finished, when reboot the system, the
system start and after that go on BSOD 0x00000024 ntfs.sys

I 'not understand why before I install Windows Vista Ultimate with no
problem Confused

I found that on a Dell XPS M1330, the SATA setting had to be changed
from ACHI to ATA in order to get the system to boot. After a successful
boot (which included an automatic chkdsk), I could change it back to
ACHI.

You could try it. I can't tell where in the boot process it got stuck.

All AHCI does is enable native command queuing (NCQ) and doesn't really
change anything on the hard drive.
