My email address is netscape.net. I followed the directions from AOL for
setting up Windows Mail so it would be my aim mail (confusing isn't it) but
although I can receive mail the smtp name isn't recognized. This is my
message:
The host 'SMTP.aim.com, port: 587' could not be found. Please verify that
you have entered the server name correctly.
Subject '', Account: 'pop.aim.com', Server: 'SMTP.aim.com, port: 587',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number:

Don't put the port number in the server name. It is entered on the Advanced
tab.
