So I have sound In Vista Ultimate but I have a problem with my SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio...I sometimes loose the sound!!!!! Why? In those moments the Windows Media Player, Skype and even the videos from youtube don't work! After I restart my computer everything is back to normal but it is annoying!!!


EDIT: If it helps I have an ASUS P8P400S-X motherboard (I usually downloa d the sound driver from ASUS).

have you tried going to the manufacturer site and downloading the latest sou nd drivers?

it could be that the driver installed improperly so try uninstalling it completely and reinstall it

if that does not work then you might want to do a system restore to a time when it was working via system restore
