How can I stop the "print to file" function? When I go to print, that box
comes up asking me "Output file name"? I simply wish to print. The print to
file box is NOT checked either. I may not be the sharpest knife in the
drawer, but this is making me be even more dull.

Try opening the printer properies and check on the "Ports" tabsheet which
port is assigned. It sounds like your printer might be connected to the
"FILE:" port.
