Duplex printing bug head to toe - HP printer

Hi all, please, help mi with my HP Deskjet 5652 Duplex printing in Vista
x64. I tried to contact mr. Bob, but every of my emails was returned
with error message (cannot delivery). Maybe I have a problem with my
inet provider, don't know Sad

please, if its possible, can someone send
me these super-drivers from mr. Bob for this printer?

Hi Tom - my mvps.org address has implemented spam filters that are
bouncing some valid requests. Please send me an email to
bobh.TakeThisOut@proaxis.com with Vista Duplex Deskjet 5652 in the subject line.

If you would also forward the bounce messages you got it would help my
efforts to get the spam filter at mvps.org fixed a bit.

The file you sent me fixed the problem I was having with my HP 7310 not
automatically printing in duplex mode with Vista.

BTW, I also sent an email yesterday to HP complaining about the lack of new
Vista drivers for the 7310, and I got a semi-form letter back saying that HP
and Microsoft are working on the problem. Ha!

Hi Bob! There were problems with my provider, I changed it, and now - I
can say Tnakhs a lot for sending patch! Duplex is correct now! :)

I got the duplex printing fix from Bob Headrick (bobh@proaxis.com). As
I am not command line knowledgeable it took me some time to install the
fix, but it did work! Thanks Bob

A couple of tips for the command line challenged:
Do a Vista Search for command prompt, then right click and run as
administrator.

Enter the commands and then hit the Enter Key for each command.
Place the .gpd file on the desktop
Get it's path and directory by right clicking on the file and then
selecting properties
to Copy you cannot copy and paste. You must enter the command
Copy C: path name you got above

I too have problems with duplex printing on a HP7310. I have just
purchased a Sony Laptop with Vista Premium x64 and the printer refuses
to print book form, just flip pages head to toe.
Since I am new to this game, how do I email bobh@xxxxxx ????

I just want to add my thanks to Bob.

After an embarrassing number of years of checking back with HP once
every 5 or 6 months for a Vista driver update for my 7310, I decided it
had been long enough since my last Internet search on the duplex problem
that it was probably worth looking again, which brought me to this
thread. An email to Bob got me the required GPD file and clear
instructions within a few hours and after following them (including the
sometimes required re-boot) here I am with my 7310 happily duplex
printing the way it was born too and the way it always did when I was
running the XP OS.

HP OJ 7310
Evidently HP isn't concerned enough. It's now been over a year and I spent
4 hours on the phone with their CHAT support. They told me to reboot, to
uninstall the printer, to install another printer driver, to reinstall the
7310 driver, and finally that it was a Microsoft VISTA or WORD problem.
Pointing fingers hasn't seemed to help.

HP is starting to release the fixed drivers on Windows Update

I think you will need to delete the printer and the driver before installing
the update

Hi everyone. Sorry for not posting sooner. I received the email and
patch from Bob. Very timely response. Thank you Bob.

By the time I had my first chance to install the patch (the following
weekend), my spouse decided that we were not going to fix anything. We
went to Costco and bought a Canon printer. We sent the HP off to
recycleville.

Sorry I could not give the patch a try, but from the other posts, the
patch sounds like it should work without too much effort.

This saddens me. Bob has had a patch that works for over a year now. HP
won't acknowledge the problem as recently as a 4 hour CHAT session in March
09. What gives with HP? Why won't they fix their drivers?
