| Hello, everyone, I was wondering if anyone out there knew how to make it to
where these speakers work on a new HP desktop. It's running Windows Vista
Home Premium and has a RealTek sound card. I've looked all over, downloaded
the driver, and it still is not coming up. Please help!

The problem is I don't have any money to buy anything else for it, I need to
find a way to fix it or patch it in or something. Thanks for trying that.

They are not expensive; Australian $25

Did you contact Boston for further assistance? I have a Gateway Notebook with
Vista and having same problems. Gateway Tech told me to contact Boston. Our
speakers only work with a digital soundcard and thus I am waiting for
Boston's response.

an easier option is to add an analog input jack to the Digital BA735.
there were two versions of the Digital BA735 made - some had an analog
in, some did not. I have both and they share the same PC board.
simply solder a 3.5mm stereo PC mount jack to the board in the existing
locations, drill out a hole for the jack in next to the digital input
jack, and you have a working system again that isn't dependent on a
specific sound card.

see for yourself. there are four phillips screws that hold the
subwoofer case together. remove them and open it up. then remove the
two screws on the control face, pull off the sub control knob, and
remove the nut holding that potentiometer on. then the board slides out
and you can see where the analog input lies on the board - and the pin
spacing.
