Today I got 3 times a BSOD thanks to Trend Micro 14. I'm using the Vista
RC1.
TMTDI.sys crashed several times.

What's a good (free) anti-virus alternative for Vista RC1? I've just
installed eTrust EZ Antivirus.

Avast Home Edition 4.7 now works in x86 and x64 RC1. Free, but you need to
register for a free registration code.

Same thing with my system. Trend Micro kept blue screening.

I also switched to EZ a/v.

Do you have problems with Defender vs eTrust?
My RC1 Defender keeps blocking the eTrust system tray programs and I do not
seem to be able to unblock them!

Interesting. I installed Trend Micro on RC1 5600 and didn't have an issue
until I upgraded to 5728. Then I only got blue screen and reboots when Vista
tried to start.

I'm now running Vista 5728 from a clean install with all the same drivers
except for no Trend. Hmmm...
