stop AVG Gaelicum removal tool running on startup

Guys kindly help me with this.

I was infected with the virus GAELICUM. I downloaded and run the avg gaelicum removal tool and i successfully cleaned all the files infected.

There were some locked files that could not be scanned during the scan procedure and the removal tool suggested to scan it after the computer restarts.

After the reboot, before loading windows XP (just right after the windows XP logo). It scans the locked files and then it says "press any key to continue to OS boot."

Now the problem is... everytime I restart my computer this annoying scanning of locked files (even if there are no locked files to be scanned there anymore) keeps appearing. And i have to always "press any key" to continue loading windows.

Anyone can help me solve this? Thanks in advance.

I usually remote control my PC from the office and there were times i have to restart my PC. But being not at home and nobody can press the "any key" my pc is stuck in that avg removal tool stop point.

I could not find any solutions from google, results are flooded with gaelicum removal tool procedure and not with the solution i have to my prob. Probably not hitting the right search keyword.

My last resort are the techinical guys here in this forum.
