Any updates to the Engine or Download Manager (in the case of AdAware 2007) will be included in the weekly updates.
Get those and you should be good to go.
However, some programs like AVG gather updates at an alarming rate.
Not alarming like scary, but at a significant byte-rate.
For this reason, I download a new copy of AVG at least once a month. When I install AVG for my customers, I like to have a late version so I don't have to sit there and wait for so many updates to download.
AdAware and Spybot are considered by many tech's to be "Companion" programs. Meaning, they work well together and each one gets things the other one does not.
Spybot has not updated their "program" in quite some time.
EDIT: They just recently released Spybot S&D v 1.5.
It incorporates some slightly different screens but for the oldtime Spybot user, it shouldn't be any problem.
However (at my suggestion) they did go to incremental updates to lessen the download times. They split up their updates into 'modules' and you only get the module that's changed since your last update.
New updates are now posted on Wednesdays.
AdAware however just came out with the official release of AdAware 2007.
They have already posted several updates to their 'Download Manager'.
Seems like they are still working the "Bugs" out.
For either program,,,,if you have all the latest updates, you're OK.
Cheers!
