There's no area for rootkits... this used to be in win vista security forum but moved it here cuz I was not getting anything in response (been 2 days).

In the recent weeks I have noticed my Firefox tripping out and redirecting to random websites via a "rev-advert" site when I click on links in google. My Trend-Micro Pro software, housecall and rootkit buster, as well as Sophos anti-rootkit have been unable to even see this "rev-advert" coding. Now when I click on bookmarked sites, it redirects to google with a search for that site. The little bit of results from research have merely indicated that the "rev-advert" is a type of hijacking.
