| I have updated Spybot and installed a couple of their files. Howver the
definitions file tries for a minute to download, and then gives this message
in the info column: "!!! Bad checksum !"
Can anyone advise what may be the problem.
Thanks, Chrisssss.........

Yes, I got the same message. It is likely to be a network problem.

Asked and answered dozens of times in the last .. month?
Choose another server, preferably SaferNetworking #1 or #2.
Alternatively, someone suggested deleting the zip files in the program's
directory, though I haven't had the need for that.

I get this sometimes. Choose a different server from the drop-down
list. |

How do I "switch to a different server"? There seem to be no settings in
Spybot. I just click the updates button, so how do I change servers?
Thanks, Chrisssss....... |

Chrisssssss,
1) Start Spybot S&D
2) Click on Search for Updates
3) In the Search for Updates window, next to
Search for Updates, is a Server Pulldown.
4) Use the down arrow to see a list of Servers
available to you.
BTW, this list is in online.ini in your Spybot S&D/Updates directory.
