Are you talking about downloading the program, or about getting updates?

If updates, change servers. "Safernetworking #2" or #3 always works.

You are right, it's after I've downloaded and then can't tell which ones to
check off. All kinds of things. Then I check a couple of the "English stuff"
what ever that is and then try to update but can't...I really don't
understand about changing servers. Can you help me out some more....Thanks
so much.......Nel

First you get a selection (in the white area of the window) of available
updates. Check off all you want, usually a database update, maybe some
new help info, and lately a skin for the colorblind.

Then look above. You see several horizontal buttons.
[ Search for Updates ] [ <a server name> ] [ Download Updates ] ...

Click the second one, it's a dropdown menu, and pick one of the
"SaferNetworking" choices.
Then click the Download Updates button.
Once complete, you are ready to scan if you think that is necessary.

Please don't top-post. Thanks.

Nope, just stating a fact. There are far better products available. You
may have to pay for it, but better is available.

when you pay for NIS or other firewall/av bundles.. you dont generally
want to pay too much more for commercial anti-spyware utils Razz
i use TeaTimer on SpyBot; i've used it on many of my PC's and it helps
stop spyware from actually getting its regkeys on (and alerting you) -
provided you know what the regkeys actually mean.

i've always liked Teatimer - apparently (according to this NG at least)
it's inadequate.
i've liked it because its light and it did its job well enough.
