I have cut and pasted these paragraph's from another topic.
I am desperate now to wipe Norton off my new ASUS portable which keeps coming up with a ccCommon error. I have uninstalled norton to no avail, as I still get a loading problem telling me a Norton link is still running. Nothing I try does get rid off the startup comment.
Please help with a copy of you Norton Killer program.
Thanks
Rawdon Van Rixtel

I know I'm "harsh" but that comes from having to uninstall (or forceably remove) Norton from PC's every week, in my own computer security business.
If even one of my customers ever said to me, "don't remove Norton from my PC", I'd turn around and walk out.
There is absolutely NO way for me to disinfect a PC and optimize its efficiency with Norton still installed and running. NO WAY!

I have a special package of software that I call my "Norton Killer".
It's available to anyone who needs it. It will shortly be available for download from a new web site.

Ya could'a just dropped me a PM, ya know? Wink

Yeah, in one of my Norton rages I did say what you quoted.

Symantec used to put out three files to kill Norton. One, unregistered some DLL's so they could be deleted, one deleted most of the Norton files and folders and the last one erased 1891 keys from the registry.

OK, that was yesterday, now today Symantec has put everything into one single file "SymNRT.exe" which you can download from the link in my signature line.

I'll leave that link there as long as Norton continues to be such a pain in the arse.

Holla if ya need mo help!
