Hi,
You could try creating one using Bart's PE Builder. Look at the site
http://www.nu2.nu.
Otherwise, google for the term "Diamond Boot CD" and you should be able
to download the ISO image of it from any torrents site. Burn it onto a
CD. This will contain the following three options.
1. Ultimate Boot CD
2. Mini PE XT (compact version of Windows XP, but works great)
3. Hiren's Boot CD.
Boot with this CD and when prompted, select Mini PE XT and it will
launch WinXP. It does have necessary antivirus/antispyware scanners
with which you could scan your laptop.
Also, download f-prot for DOS, apply the updates and use it for scan.
Again, download smartcop free antivirus scanner from www.s-cop.com and
scan the laptop. I am sure smartcop will find and eliminate any
antivirus (Not spywares).
Try and let me know.
Thanks,
Balaji.

Hi,
Mini PE XT is far better than Hiren's boot cd.
Try it and you will love it. Also, don't forget to scan your CD with
smartcop.
For freeware antivirus, I would suggest you to go for either Antivir
Personal Edition or Avast. Don't go for AVG.
Thanks,
Balaji.

Hi and thanks for the info.
I found Hiren's CD. Nice toy <g> It did find a couple of viruses, but I was
finally able to logon to XP.
From there, I just removed Norton and SpyWare Fighter (something like that).
Installed Adaware and just finished a scan.
Next, I'll have to uninstall Panda and install either Avast or Kapersky.
Thanks for the help.

Kaspersky or NOD32 are highly suggested.

Along with everyone else's suggestions, if you happen to do this often
then you might find something like:
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=2020
will come in handy. It lets you plug an IDE (2.5" or 3.5") or SATA drive
into another computer via USB for scanning.

Using Bart's PE[1] and Eset's NOD32 anti-virus[2] I've successfully
disinfected machines from CD. You'll need a Windows XP CD and a license for
NOD32 (not free); just include NOD32's folder in the PE Builder screen.
It's likely to work with ClamWin[3] (free) as well, so YMMV. Also beware of
XP licensing issues when building a the PE from it.

I really wish that you people would quit promoting Hiren's Boot CD. It
is based on pirated software. Being a thief (stealing software) is a
lot like being pregnant ... either you are or you are not. There
really is no in between.
I am really not trying to be sanctimonious about this, but those of us
who are tired of fighting DRM issues would really appreciate the help
in mitigating the problem of pirated software.
