FREE? Now, there's a term we don't hear often enough.
AVG 7.5 FREE.....what does that really mean?
Well, it's FREE of cost. It costs you absolutely nothing, not now or later.
It's not a DEMO or TRIAL.....just FREE. FREE for the lifetime of the article.
It's also FREE of ad's. You'll never see pop-ups or banner ad's when you open the programs control panel.
It's also FREE of obligation. Heck, you don't even have to register it, if you don't want to. (I don't) So you can remain completely anonymous.

By default, it updates itself and scans for viruses on a daily basis.

Scroll down the page to the orange area and then click on:
avg75free_446a965.exe (or the currently posted version)
Save to your desktop and run the install from there.
If you have an older version of AVG free already installed,
use the 'Repair Install' option when installing v. 7.5.
Immediately get updates. More than one may be required.
Now, for an added value (It's still FREE) get the newly released
AVG 7.5 Anti-Spyware program

It's on the same page as the AVG 7.5 FREE Anti-Virus program.
Just scroll on down to the bottom of the above mentioned page,
to download the new AVG Anti-Spyware program.
It runs just fine on Windows XP (all versions) but not on Vista.
Vista comes with a Bi-Directional Firewall and Windows Defender
for added protection. Both are FREE.
