I have a pentium 4 with 512 mb ram windows xp sp2. I now use Trend Micro 2008. It seems bloated, takes 1.5 hours to scan my computer. I am very interested in the new free edition of Avast 7.5 anti spyware program. Any info on this new software. Has anybody been using Trend Micro internet security 2008 that can give me their input? Thank You!

Well if you upgrade your ram to at leats 1gig i would do it. AVG is awesome except for the fact that how you use the machine. if its basic stuff then avg is good for you... if you do a lot of surfing and downloading freeware stuff such as limewire/bearshare/imesh/torrents, then spy sweeper with antivirus is great. AVG wouldn't work great, but regardless i would use more than 512mb of ram. 512 on xp machines are becoming absolute! Good luck
