Instead of just showing the familiar simple list of a few
viruses/tracking cookies/possible trojans/etc in its list of Critical
Objects, Spybot has now started reporting a whole kluge of stuff about
Registry changes. They have no checkmark against them, so what are
they supposed to be telling me? Most appear to be basic configuration
details in dozens of applications, such as 'Recently used file;, 'Last
opened browser', etc.

How long has this change been in place please? IMO, it's a backward
step.

What version?

BTW, lately, more often than not, when I try to download the updated
detection rules, or the English Language updates, I get !!!bad check
sum!, which means the server is busy. If I try to Ctrl alt delete out,
Task Manger shows Spybot running, and eventually shows not responding.

Know if there's another server to go to, and how would we get to it?

Often I get the check sum error, but since I changed to a different server
WITHIN the program, I don't have a problem. On the screen for updating, the
second graphic from the left has an arrow to the right of it. Click on that
to pick a different server.

You are most welcome. Often people don't realize that there are all those
choices with the arrow.....it doesn't exactly jump out at you, grin.

Cheers....Heather

choose another server to download from within the program. "Europe2"
normally is working.
