Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)

I installed Symantec's Mail Security 5 for Exchange (ver 5.0.2.221) on
a Windows 2000 Server w/SP4 recently and the inetinfo.exe service is
pegging the cpu at 100% every 5 minutes or so.

I took a look on Symantec's knowledgebase and didnt get much info but a
similar person had the same problem with the older SMS 4 and they
upgraded to a newer release and it solved the problem so I did the same
thing but with SMS 5 and the new version is now (ver 5.0.4.363).

I still get high cpu usage so it appears that the newer build didnt
solve the problem.

Anyone have a similar problem or know of a fix?

Thanks and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Chad

I have the same issue. Did you ever find the culprit?

I have SMSME, and my inetinfo is running at about 30%. My mail server usually runs at about 1%.
