Note: the "text" version makes a good reference for determining possible
unwanted sites.

Many people will not get a new hosts file because it's hard to do.
Or they think' it is anyway so they just PASS on it.

Well, all the work and technical stuff has been taken out of the job with the "Hosts Manager" program.
It's easily found and downloaded from the hosts site.
Then sign up for the email alert, when a new hosts file is available.
Then run the "Hosts Manager" program which will search for new hosts files and download and even install them for you. No sweat, no pain!

A New hosts file is available about every two weeks.

Hosts Manager will also download Hosts files from other sources and even remove any double entries from your Hosts file when its done.
It doesn't get much easier than that.

I don't particularily like third-party tools to manage such a simple file.
Anyone can use whatever they like, it's their choice.
BTW The HOSTS File is update every month, give or take, not every two weeks - as I have been collaborating with the author of the file for close to ten years.
