Hello everyone,

I downloaded the MULTI_AV tool to remove Infostealer.Gampass from a computer at work, but first i tried the MULTI_AV tool on my computer to see how it worked.

I updated without problems the Kapersky and Sophos AV's, but when it finished updating TREND antivirus all my files started to erase by themselves, it just left the empty folders, it even erased almost EVERYTHING in Program FIles, except the WINDOWS folder, because the computer still boots, but i havent tried it all yet.

I've seen this tool recommended alot, but it just destroyed a whole year of work. Did i do something wrong??? I just followed instructions to update antivirus but my files were erased.

Thankfully I do a backup when im going to try this kind crappy tools.

This tool really sucks... sorry... any comments?

thx

I had that happen once with a Registry Cleaner! I forgot to check the "Options" page, and it deleted all my "Start-up" programs! I've seen a few other "cleaning" programs that list the "start-up" files as needed to be cleaned. The reasoning seems to be that since too many "start-ups" slow down your boot - they should be removed for efficiency!

Aren't back-ups wonderful???
