Avira free: problem with advertising

Hi I have installed Avira Antivir free and every day I have some
opening of advertising windows (to buy Avira Premium). How could I
solve this problem? If it is impossible I will replace that boring,
antivirus.

You'd be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Avira is at the
top of the heap for AV protection now. ...or upgrade to the premium
version. You could do worse.

AFAIK, you can't get rid of the pop-ups.

FWIW, I wouldn't get rid of Avira, it's one of the top rated AV programs.

The easiest solution is not use a "free" program. I think the popup is
a small thing compared to getting great AV with no money out of
pocket.

You freebie folks just tickle me pink! Want top notch stuff for free and then complain that it comes with adverts; ever stop to think the ads might just be that which permits you to use the product for free? If you really want to get rid of the ads simply plunk out the loose cash and buy the premium version. Should you not be able to afford it, perhaps you should think of switching from M$ Windows to a free Linux distro wherein you won't necessarily need an AV program at all or wherein you can use the free, no adds, ClamAV.
There's a free Windows variant too; ClamWin!
Or simply just hold on for a while, M$ is coming out with its very own free AV product - in beta testing now.
