I was browsing traveling sites to germany. I click on a link and the next thing i know, i get 3 pop ups and one of the windows would not close. it was titled "search" at the top, was completely blank other than that, and had the windows classic theme to it.
this made my avg go bonkers. i kept getting a pop up saying it was a virus. i was so unnerved i forgot the name of the file. i do remember reading something about "fake.lf" however. i decided to just turn off the computer and figure it out later. once i turned it back on...i got no such pop ups about viruses. i scanned using windows defender and avg. Nothing came up.
what does this mean? was it an error? im still concerned somehow the virus hid itself, is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
