I was told to look at Panda Avtivirus software. I am thinking of buying the

What does OEM mean? The version of the Panda Antivirus I am thinking of
buying is, '2005 OEM and I was told it will update itself when I installed.
Is this what happens?

Original Equipment Manufacture(r?)

Usually it means any support would have to be obtained from the computer
manufacturer (of the computer it "was" installed on) rather than from the AV
company itself. If you got a Dell with an OEM AV you would have to deal
with Dell to get support instead of Panda. Dell probably wouldn't want to
give any support for one of their OEM inclusions that you try to run on a
non-Dell computer.
