|
| Lately, everytime I restart my system, AVG states that updates are disabled. Once I update manually, it is fine and life continues on. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem or has a solution.
thx

Do you have AVG update allowed in your firewall?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it? |

| Yes, I have a rule allowing updates to pass through seamlessly without interference. It's just that I'm getting tired of starting one manually to get the upgrade engine to start is all. |

Thanks for the info, but combofix found nothing (no surprise for me) and why would I use kaspersky when I prefer AVG? Regardless, the problem is still there and appears strictly related to AVG with "possibly" no external interference. Once I manually perform an update, all is good... |

A little more info:
Not only are automatic updates disabled when I restart, but I've noticed that any changes for automatic updates are NOT being applied. IOTW, I can set it to start updates automatically every 15 minutes but after hitting "Save Changes", it reverts to the checkbox being unchecked and the time being reset to 0...
Once a manual update occurs (after a reboot) automatic updates seem to be re-enabled, but the checkbox still stays unchecked...
Ideas, anyone??? |
