Haven't seen any coverage of this topic. My mother bought Norton 360 (against my recommendation). I installed a Visioneer scanner, only worked after turning off Norton. This scanner worked for about a week, then on start-up Windows couldn't find the scanner.
So, when her printer died, I bought her an HP all-in-one for Christmas. Same procedure as the scanner. Had to turn off Norton. After about a week, again Windows couldn't find the scanner, although the printer still worked.
Last night she informed me that the printer is now off-line and will not work.
Since the original printer was installed, and worked fine, before she purchased Norton 360, I suspect that, somehow, Norton is the culprit.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Uninstalling Norton 360 is probably out of the question, as she "loves" her Norton!
