cannot install visio 2003 on laptop

I have tried installing via the cd and i copied the files to a folder and
tried to install. I get an error message after putting in the code that
states that states "Microsoft Office Visio Profession Setup cannot continue
because the installation source has been corrupted"

I installed it on my office pc fine to test the corrupt image theory and it
installed fine. Please help

and what are the odds that the cd reader has a problem ?

turns out my IE 6 is corrupt, i installed the latest IE and all is well,
