I need to convert a file with .pdf.mdi extension to pdf only

I have a file created in publisher that the sender tried to put into pdf
format. It has an extension of pdf.mdi. the printer cannot use it. It is an
e-mail attachment. I do not have Publisher on my pc. HELP !!!!

The .mdi extension is Microsoft's Document imaging document. What happens if you
delete the .mdi part, can you open it then?
