Can someone please help me? I cannot figure out how to change the date in the
border. Also, how do you format it?

Try double clicking the date, then right click once it's highlighted, and
select insert field. Alternately, once selected you can go to menu bar >
Insert > Field. The pop-up menu will give you options. Make sure it's just
the date that's selected.
