When I put in a search form it seems to be an all-or-nothing
proposition--namely, search the entire site or nothing at all. Is there any
way of telling the search form to search, for example, only 2 directories
within the site? Thanx for any help!

If you are hosted on a Windows Server, contact your host to set up a catalog
for your site in Index Server.

Another option is to put any content you don't want searched into a hidden
folder, example: _folder

The index server catalog for FPSE does all of the sites by
default. You can have IS catalogs that are not tied to a web
instance, and select specific directories for indexing. This
will only index the directories (and their subdirectories),
and using that specific catagol will only give results from
those 2 directories. However, the FPSE version of the search
will only work with the FPSE catalog- you would need to use
a custom script to use a custom catalog

Or placing the content to be search in a FP subweb/site with a search form.
