Hello all,

For long time I receive the following error when trying to save a Visio drawing. I’m using MS Office 2003 with the latest service packs.

The error:
Quote:

Visio internal error: #3400
Action 1004: Save

First try closing and reopening the file. Next try restarting Visio.

It happens if I insert a ‘Microsoft Equation Editor 3.0’ object and then try to save the file (in any format). Of course, I have tried the proposal ‘closing and reopening the file’, but it doesn’t helped me anyway. I think (and I’m almost 99% convinced) that this is a problem in the embedding of OLE objects. Somewhere over the Internet I read that this might be caused by the ‘Application Server’ that need to be reinstalled. But nothing more…
I did reinstalled all the Office 2003 package, incl. Visio 2003, but the problem remains. I do not know how to reinstall the ‘Application server’. I don’t know what to do about this anymore, but I need to find a solution of this problem urgently.

Please, help me !

Cheers,
uglyduck

hi there,

How you doing? I saw your post regarding visio problem. I'm facing the
same problem. I'm bogged down by it for couple of days. I did not
find any replies to your post. Did you fix this problem? Please reply me back.
I would appreciate it.

Hi,

Unfortunately, NO! Sad
The ugly Visio is still not working correctly. Even the re-install did not helped me. I'm desperate. I think no one could help me. The last thing I have not tryed yet is the Windows re-install. But I don't wont to do that. And it would be a stupid solution.

Still hope someone can post a soultion here...
